AGOP FAQ: Exhibition Participation

The exhibitions included depend on your chosen programme. Active Artist includes one group exhibition and one online exhibition. Maestro includes one solo exhibition, two group exhibitions and one online exhibition.

Both programmes include participation with up to 10 works in the online exhibition, publication in digital exhibition catalogues and through AGOP’s channels, as well as the opportunity to offer work for sale through the Association’s exhibition channels. Sales commission for annual programme participants is 30%.

Active Artist is for artists who want to gain regular exhibition experience. Maestro is for artists who want to develop a solo exhibition project and take a fuller part in AGOP’s annual exhibition programme.

Compare the programmes and fees.

Yes. Maestro can be paid in two instalments of €369: the first covers the first six months, and the second covers the following six months. The total for the year is €738.

You may submit one to three works for a group exhibition.

For group exhibitions included in your current AGOP membership programme, participation is guaranteed provided the work meets the requirements of the specific project: at least one work will be displayed.

For artists who are not AGOP members, submitting an application does not guarantee participation. Applications are subject to curatorial selection.

The artist arranges and pays for shipping the work to a physical exhibition and back. If storage is needed after the exhibition ends, the artist also pays for it.

Yes. AGOP may offer open calls for individual exhibition projects. Participation requires a separate application and does not make you a member of the Association. A physical group exhibition costs €199. An online exhibition costs €15 per work. Minimum three works — €45; maximum 10 works. Sales commission for external participants in physical exhibitions and online exhibitions through Artsy is 35%. Previously paid arrangements remain unchanged.
